Follow-up Welcome Email

For those who have NOT received anything from me yet…………….welcome!

Some of you have played for me on other levels and some on minor/seniors.

This division is a bit different since there are traditionally fewer players for various reasons. It is played as intensely as every other division and players for the most part at this level already have a good deal of experience or certainly pick it up quickly.

Just a couple of quick notes for now…………………….

We will practice NEXT week Monday, 7/20 and Wednesday 7/22. Monday and Wednesday MAY NOT always be our practice days though. I will you know each week. We will practice from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. If you have a ride bringing you, please have them there by 8 since we really don’t want to leave unless we know you are getting a ride. We will meet at the pavilion by the soccer fields the first time then move to one of the fields.

Even if it is nice and cool out……bring WATER WATER WATER WATER!!!!!!!!! I know kids will share but with the colds, flu etc it isn’t t he best of ideas……WATER WATER WATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bring a NUMBER 5 Soccer ball and PUT YOUR NAME ON IT! You don’t HAVE to have one but it’s a good idea to get one for yourself anyway…..borrow one if you need to so you can practice at home on your own time.

I would ADVISE you to wear shin guards too…….You HAVE to for games……….and if you have ever been kicked in the shin, you know why I am saying it.

It would be helpful if you could bring a white, or light colored shirt and one that is dark in color…………….for when we scrimmage each other…..

I am Coach……………our assistant Coach is Coach Kim………………Because our two sons have played for us for so long, they will be assisting us (not bossing you around) just assisting us with practice (Gage with Offense and Zak with Defense) but Kim and I will always have the final decision on any conflicts or issues.

I will follow up with more about the teams, games, dates etc. I am still working with other areas to arrange it as we speak.

Please write back and let me know I have your email correct and if you have any job, school things etc that will conflict with practices or games as we go through the season.

Hope to hear from you soon and let me know if you will be at Monday’s practice or not. The more we can all get together and practice, and at the games, the better team we will ultimately be! Call me or email me any time!
